Open Relay and ParaTriathlete Relay Teams
Open Relay Team: An Open Relay Team is made up of two or three participants who compete in a team format during the race. Team members are divided up among the three stages of the course with one team member competing in no more than two legs of the course, the swim, bike, or run. Teams may be made up of any two or three participants regardless of their gender, age, affiliation or relationship. Teams may consist of all men, all women, or a mixed team. Awards are presented to the top teams finishing in the following categories: All Male, All Female, and Mixed.
ParaTriathlete Relay Team: A ParaTriathlete Relay Team is made up of two or three challenged athelte participants (as determined by USAT) who compete in a team format during the race. Team members are divided up among the three stages of the course with one team member competing in no more than two legs of the course, the swim, bike, or run. Teams may be made up of any two or three participants regardless of their gender, age, affiliation or relationship. Teams may consist of all men, all women, or a mixed team. Awards are presented to the top teams finishing in the following categories: All Male ParaTriathlete, All Female ParaTriathlete, and Mixed ParaTriathlete. Awards may be further broken down by Competition category depending upon final entrant make-up.
Relay Teams utilize the timing chip as the "baton" to be passed in transition. The Swimmer is responsible for the short run from the swim exit to transition at Marina Green.
ONLINE RELAY TEAM REGISTRATION:
Step 1: Teams must choose a Team Captain to FIRST register the Team Name. Team Names must be appropriate for this type of race and may be subject to approval from the Event Staff. There is no charge for Team Name registration.
Step 2: Once the team captain has officially registered the Team Name (see Step 1), each individual team member must register online and pay their portion of the team entry fee. If a team member is competing in two legs of the race, they must register and pay twice.

Relay Team Entry Fees: - Open Relay Team: $1050 ($350 per team member) - ParaTriathlete Relay Team: $600 ($200 per team member) *Non-USAT Members will have to pay a $10 one-time membership fee. |
